Oh I do like to be...

Here's what I made for the Craft Barn Extravaganza with some of those tags I sprayed yesterday:

They're designed to work as a pair:

All stamps by Crafty Individuals.

Craft Barn Extravaganza

Well, this event is fast approaching - September 11 and 12 - and I'm getting quite excited. I'm demoing Crafty Individuals stamps along with various media.

I've made most of the samples that I'm going to be demoing, but thought I'd make some more tags to decorate this mannequin display thing I've got (pinched that idea from Lynn up at Graphicus - thanks Lynn!).

I'll be posting some of the stuff I've made over the next few days, but here's a picture of the tags I've sprayed with the Cosmic Shimmers. Those who follow WOYWW will know I spray on the floor of my art room - another useful surface. You'll also know how messy I am as you can see from my hands!

Surprise, surprise!

The strangest thing happened the other day - I got a parcel from Stampington and inside it was..... a piece of artwork that had been in a magazine, oh, at least 3 years ago! I'd long since given up on getting it back, even though I'd put some dollars in for postage. In fact, I'd long since forgotten I'd made it! Imagine my surprise when I opened up the envelope.
I think the brief was use hearts, but not paper ones. This is what I made:

The stamps are some old ones from Elusive Images and a tiny heart from Hero Arts. I've made the dress by cutting a stampbord coaster square.

Hot Picks with a vintage feel...

This is how I finished off that card in WOYWW picture. It uses the Paperartsy Hot Picks 1006 stamps. It turned out with a vintage look which I love but rarely seem to achieve! I think this was because I used some 6 x 6 Webster's paper.
Here are some close ups:

And then the whole card:

And it is my work desk this week - well somewhere under that lot! Making something with one of the Paperartsy Hot Picks plates which I've had for a while but not had time to try out. Beautiful stamps these.

Craft Barn Extravaganza and Crafty Individuals!

I've been doing a lot of work with Crafty Individuals stamps lately as I'm very excited to have been asked to demo them at the next Craft Barn Extravaganza on September 11th and 12th. This is the first time I've demo'd there and I'm really looking forward to it, if a bit nervous! If you see a mad looking woman in the corner with her glasses stuck on her head and inky fingers, that'll be me!!!

I've been making samples like mad and will show you some sneak peeks nearer the time. Suffice to say the Saturday will have a seaside theme and the Sunday a more Christmassy feel.

Meanwhile, here are a couple of tags I made using a real mixture of their stamps. I wanted to see how many layers I could build up without losing the plot! The little girls are from one of their newest sets. Each tag started out sprayed with Mint Green Cosmic Shimmer spray. The material at the top is from an old silk skirt - the colours just seemed to go.

Here are the two together:

WOYWS...

Having just been away for a week to Holland, I couldn't join in with WOYWW, so I've slightly adapted it to What's On Your Wall Saturday!! A couple of years ago I bought this great wire thing up in Chester that is wonderful for sticking art in! I've got all sorts of bits of pieces in here, some you'll have seen before, some not!
