Brushos

Here's a card I've made using a Brusho background and PaperArtsy Hot Pick 1305:

In fact it uses two different backgrounds, one using clingfilm and one that is blown!

Demo at The Craft Barn

I had a lovely time on Saturday demoing at The Craft Barn - I was using the new Lynne Perrella stamps and Distress Markers. Here are a couple of easy cards that I made:

These use the Lynne Perrella LPC032 set, which are lovely fine line, quite tall stamps. Very versatile and easy to use.

Talking about The Craft Barn , I've got a class coming up making a Quirky Clock using a Tando kit and, by coincidence, Lynne Perrella stamps!
It's on Saturday 21 February and uses paints, acetate and lots of staples! Come along and join me if you fancy some fun and a real working clock at the end:

I've also got the second session of my Inky Fingers Club coming up shortly after on Wednesday 25 February in which we're going to be trying out Brushos and when I say trying out I mean just that - every which way but loose. You'll go home with a selection of projects and sample cards with all the techniques. Here's a sneak peek:

And finally.....

It's Lynne Perrella night on the blog! These stamps live up to their usual fantastic standard and have a definite stained glass look to them. As usual they are full of detail and just wait 'til you see what everyone's made!

These first ones are stamped onto acetate in black and then the back is coloured with alcohol inks and overlaid onto silver mirri card:

This second set are stamped onto glossy cardstock and coloured with Distress markers. I've then layered each one onto different coloured card onto which I've stamped a repeating border. I've deliberately not added any embellishments as I don't think they need them!

You have to agree, PaperArtsy have outdone themselves, and, don't forget:

PaperArtsy again

I hope you've been following their blog and seen all the new stuff coming out.

Tonight is the turn of Emma Godfrey whose launched some Eclectica stamps. I love the graphic design feel of these as well as all the text.
I just had to use black ink with the colour palette chosen to make the designs really stand out. I've used two of the PaperArtsy leaf dies to make my birds, and altered the way the triangles run on each tag.

They're designed to work as a pair:

Here's a couple of real close ups:

As you can see, these stamps are fun!

New PaperArtsy!!!

At last! I can now show you some sneak peeks of the new stuff coming out at PaperArtsy. There's been lots of beavering away behind the scenes creating samples for the Blog and for the Stitches Trade Show.

Today is the blog launch for JOFY's new stamps and paints and you are going to love them!  Here is what I made first of all with the bee stamps:

I've gone for bright zingy colours, Jade and Prawn being new shades of Fresco paints. I cut the mountboard to echo the hexagon shape. Don't you just love the bee hive and those bees?

The next samples use the House set. First I've gone for three in a row:

and then I've gone for a bit of a landscape, blending Prawn and Yellow Submarine paints to create a sunset. The trees are stamped several times and cut to fit:

Head on over to the PaperArtsy blog to see them in full and all the other samples by all the other designers.
